About the Journal

Indonesia Overview Journal (Indon. Overview J.) is a peer-reviewed and open-access scholarly journal that publishes multidisciplinary research grounded in social and cultural perspectives. The journal focuses on high-quality academic works that deepen the understanding of Indonesia’s people, communities, cultures, environments, and development dynamics.

Although multidisciplinary, the journal maintains a strong foundation in socially informed and culturally grounded approaches. IOJ encourages research that explores the interconnected relationships between humans, society, environment, public health, education, governance, and technological change within Indonesian contexts.

The journal aims to advance integrative, evidence-based knowledge that supports sustainable development, strengthens community well-being, and enriches Indonesia’s diverse social and cultural landscapes.

All content published by the Indonesia Overview Journal is available through immediate open access under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction with appropriate credit to the authors.

Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication under the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license.

Archiving

The journal participates in long-term digital preservation through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and supports LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to ensure permanent accessibility of published content.
